Ali Bukar Dalori has taken over as the Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. The transition occurred after the APC’s National Working Committee (NWC) accepted Ganduje’s resignation letter during a meeting at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.

In his acceptance speech, Dalori pledged to lead the party with transparency, inclusiveness, and unity of purpose. He paid tribute to Ganduje for his contributions to strengthening the party and urged NWC members to focus on key objectives, including delivering good governance, deepening democracy within the party, and preparing for the 2027 general elections.

“We must avoid actions and words that divide us and focus on what binds us — our shared belief in the promise of Nigeria and the future of the APC,” Dalori said. He emphasized the need for the party to strengthen its internal processes, reconnect with grassroots, and re-energize its structures across all levels.

The APC remains committed to driving this transformation and will stand by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in full loyalty and partnership. Dalori reaffirmed the party’s support for the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at addressing fundamental challenges in Nigeria’s economy, security, and national cohesion.

Dalori also announced plans to unveil a practical roadmap to guide the party’s work during the interim period, covering areas such as party discipline, reconciliation, communication, member mobilization, and stakeholder engagement.

“Let us renew our commitment to the APC. Let us work together with sincerity, courage, and faith in our mission. Let us honour the past, serve the present, and prepare for a brighter future — as one united and determined APC family,” Dalori appealed to party members.
