From Ally to Adversary: Elon Musk Threatens to Form New Party Over Trump’s Spending Bill

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has threatened to form a new political party in response to a recent spending bill backed by US President Donald Trump. Musk expressed his outrage over the bill, which includes a record $5 trillion debt ceiling increase, calling it “debt slavery.”

Musk’s frustration stems from the bill’s massive spending, which he believes contradicts the principles of reducing government spending. He has taken to social media to criticize lawmakers who supported the bill, saying they should “hang their head in shame.” Musk also vowed to support primary challenges against these lawmakers, stating they will “lose their primary next year if it is the last thing I do on this Earth.”

The Tesla founder’s public feud with Trump began when Musk criticized the president’s signature tax cuts and spending bill, calling it a “disgusting abomination.” Trump responded by threatening to cut Musk’s government contracts, saying it would be an “easiest way to save money” in the budget.

Musk’s Vision for a New Party

Musk believes a new party is necessary to provide an alternative to the current two-party system, which he describes as a “one-party country – the PORKY PIG PARTY!!” He argues that the existing parties are merely a facade, stating, “They just pretend to be two parties. It’s just one uniparty in reality.”

If the spending bill passes, Musk claims he will form the “America Party” the next day, aiming to give people a voice and challenge the existing power structure. His comments have sparked speculation about the potential for a new centrist political alternative in the US.

The feud between Musk and Trump has significant implications, given their previous alliance. Musk spent at least $250 million backing Trump’s campaign and enjoyed a close relationship with the president. However, their recent public spat has raised questions about the future of their alliance and potential campaign windfalls for Republicans.
