
Two immigration officers identified as Oyomide Zion and Hakeem Mashood, have been shot by a man named as Pastor Darlington in the Sabon Iddo area of Abuja on Friday night around 10:00 p.m. The suspect allegedly mistook the officers for armed robbers.
Pastor Darlington fled the scene and is currently at large, with the police intensifying efforts to track and arrest him. Zagazola, a counterinsurgency and security publication revelas that after receiving a distress call at 11:40 p.m., the Divisional Police Officer of Iddo Division deployed patrol teams to the area, where another immigration officer, Uduk James, reported that his colleagues had been shot.
The injured officers were evacuated to the Nigerian Air Force Base Hospital in Abuja, where they are receiving treatment. The motive behind the shooting appears to be mistaken identity, with the suspect believing the officers were robbers. Authorities are working to apprehend Pastor Darlington and bring him to justice
